Acts 27

Day 1 – Storms Are Real, But So Is Our Faith

“Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.” – Acts 27:25

Devotional: Storms come in all shapes and sizes—some hit your job, your family, your health, or your heart. Paul was in a real storm, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually, yet he stood strong. Why? Because he believed God. When everything around you feels uncertain, your faith in a faithful God becomes your anchor. You may not control the storm, but you can choose to trust the One who does.

Prayer: Lord, help me to take heart today. When life feels overwhelming, remind me to believe You above everything I see and feel. Strengthen my faith so I can stand firm in every storm. Amen.

Day 2 – The Anchor of God’s Presence

“For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve.” – Acts 27:23

Devotional: Paul was surrounded by chaos, yet he had peace because he knew he was not alone. Sometimes we feel like we’re walking through life by ourselves—but we’re not. God is closer than we think, even when we cannot see Him or feel Him. Just like that mother quietly watching over her son, God is present, steady, and near. Don’t focus on the storm—focus on the Savior who is standing right beside you.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I am never alone. Even when I don’t feel You, help me to trust that You are right there with me. Let Your presence bring peace to my heart today. Amen.

Day 3 – The Anchor of God’s Promise

“Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar… For I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.” – Acts 27:24-25

Devotional: There are storms that don’t pass quickly. Days turn into weeks, and hope can begin to fade. But right in the middle of Paul’s long storm, God gave him a promise—and that promise changed everything. God’s Word brings comfort, direction, and strength when we need it most. When the storm lingers, hold tighter to His promises, because God always does what He says.

Prayer: Lord, remind me of Your promises when I feel discouraged. Help me to stay in Your Word and hold on to what You have spoken. I trust that You will do exactly what You said. Amen.

Day 4 – The Anchor of God’s Plan

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Devotional: Paul’s situation didn’t look like part of a good plan—he was a prisoner in a storm! Yet God had already determined the outcome. Even when life feels out of control, God’s plan is still in place. No person, no storm, and no circumstance can cancel what God has purposed for your life. You may not understand it right now, but you can trust that He is leading you somewhere good.

Prayer: God, I don’t always understand what You’re doing, but I trust that You have a plan for me. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. Give me peace knowing my life is in Your hands. Amen.

Day 5 – The Anchor of God’s Power

“For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” – 2 Timothy 1:12

Devotional: It’s not enough to believe God has a plan—we must also believe He has the power to carry it out. The same God who calms storms, raises the dead, and parts seas is the One holding your life together. Paul’s ship was destroyed, but not one life was lost. That’s how God works—He may not save the ship, but He will save you. When everything else fails, His power will not.

Prayer: Lord, I place my life in Your hands. I trust not only Your plan, but Your power to bring me through. Remind me that nothing is too hard for You. Amen.
