Here is a 5-day devotional that goes along with today's sermon
Day 1 — Grace That Saves
Scripture: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (NKJV)
Reflection: Grace doesn’t wait for us to get it right — it finds us right where we are. Like the Prodigal Son, we come home dirty and broken, but grace runs to meet us. Salvation isn’t earned; it’s received. When we were at our worst, Christ gave us His best. That’s the beauty of saving grace — unearned, undeserved, unstoppable love reaching down to lift us up.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for finding me when I was lost and for saving me by grace alone. Remind me daily that my salvation rests not in what I do, but in what You’ve done. Amen.
Day 2 — Grace That Sustains
Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
Reflection: We often pray for God to change our circumstances, but sometimes His grace changes us instead. His sustaining grace doesn’t always remove the storm — it carries us through it. When we feel weak, He becomes our strength. Grace whispers, “Keep going; I’m with you.” The same God who saved you will never let you walk alone. His grace doesn’t quit — and neither should you.
Prayer: Father, thank You that Your grace is enough. When I feel weak, lift me with Your strength and remind me that You are my ever-present help. Teach me to rest in Your sustaining power. Amen.
Day 3 — Grace That Restores
Scripture: “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:3 (NKJV)
Reflection: Grace doesn’t just forgive — it restores. When we’ve fallen, God doesn’t throw us away; He rebuilds us into something even stronger. Like Peter, who was forgiven at the shore after his deepest failure, we’re not defined by our shame but by our Savior. Restoring grace takes broken pieces and turns them into a testimony of mercy. There’s no mess His grace can’t mend.
Prayer: Gracious Lord, thank You for restoring my soul when I wander. Heal what’s broken in me and shape me again by Your loving hands. Let Your grace rewrite my story for Your glory. Amen.
Day 4 — Grace That Empowers
Scripture: “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” — Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)
Reflection: Grace doesn’t just rescue and restore — it empowers. Through grace, God pours courage into weak hearts and strength into trembling hands. You don’t have to come before Him timid or ashamed; you can come boldly, because His throne is a place of mercy, not judgment. Every battle, every calling, every moment of fear — grace is there, equipping you with what you need right when you need it.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that Your grace empowers me to face each day with courage. When I feel unworthy, remind me that Your throne is open and Your arms are wide. Fill me with Your strength today. Amen.
Day 5 — Grace That Leads Home
Scripture: “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.” — John 1:16 (NKJV)
Reflection: Every sunrise and every breath is grace upon grace — wave after wave of God’s kindness. One day, when we see Him face to face, we’ll realize that grace carried us every step. From the pit to the palace, from weakness to worship, His grace has led us home. Until then, we live with thankful hearts, knowing that the same grace that began our story will finish it beautifully.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that Your grace will lead me home. Help me live each day with gratitude for all You’ve done and faith for all You’ll do. Let my life sing of Your amazing grace. Amen.
