Lord, today I don’t want to simply hear what others say about You; I want to experience You for myself. I want to sit at Your feet, worship You, and draw closer to You. I want to lean on You for all my needs and trust You with every part of my life. Let me personally taste and experience Your love, forgiveness, grace, and goodness. Thank You for allowing me to have a personal relationship with You. Help me never be satisfied with simply hearing about You when I can know You for myself. Amen.
Today's Encouragement
Have you ever tried to describe the taste of an apple to someone who has never eaten one? You can talk about its sweetness, crispness, juiciness, and even describe the difference between a sweet and tart apple. But no matter how well you explain it, your words can never fully communicate what an apple actually tastes like.
The best way to understand is to take a bite.
The same is true of our relationship with God. We can tell others about His goodness. We can share stories of answered prayers, His faithfulness, His peace, and the way He has carried us through difficult seasons. We can explain what it means to trust Him. But there comes a point when someone has to experience Him for themselves.
David didn’t say, “Hear about the goodness of the Lord.” He said, “Taste and see.”
God’s goodness isn’t merely something to discuss; it is something to experience. When we trust Him, seek Him, worship Him, and walk with Him, we discover His goodness in ways words cannot fully describe.
You can tell someone how good God is—but the greatest invitation you can give them is, “Come and experience Him for yourself.”
